Drupal Developer Positions - UMD

The Division of Information Technology is seeking an experienced PHP/Drupal Developer (front-end and back-end) to assist with re-platforming of several Coldfusion applications to Drupal. DIT supports multiple web sites and the growth in project activity and upcoming redesign efforts require additional developer assistance for the project. We are seeking both long and short-term personnel for these tasks. DIT seeks experienced Drupal Developers who can build websites and applications that support multiple clients and projects. The Drupal Developers will be responsible for the full development life cycle of the sites. In some cases, the Developers will be solely responsible for building sites, and in others, he or she will collaborate with project staff, external consultants, or other contractors involved in the development process. Expertise in Drupal version 6.x and 7.x is mandatory.

Minimum 3 years experience as a PHP Web Developer, with a minimum 2 years experience with Drupal development

3-5 years of solid experience in the use of Javascript, PHP, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Ajax, and MySQL database.

Experience in full life cycle website development using Drupal

Significant experience with Drupal 6.x and 7.×.

Experience independently developing, or working with designers, to create custom themes that support the unique needs of different projects

Experience using git and drush

Ability to communicate technical knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences; development of training resources and teaching experience a plus
