The Drupal User’s Group meeting this month will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 12 noon (not the first Wednesday).

The meeting will be an open forum, led by Valerie Hoy, where we’ll discuss items of interest or challenges we’re experiencing.  This is a chance to bring your Drupal questions and projects to the table to get input from your peers.

We’d like to gather topics in advance to help steer the conversation.  Please comment on the event page with topics you’d like to see discussed, or email them to Valerie at vhoy@umd.edu.  We’re also eager to know if  you’re comfortable leading a specific topic for discussion.

Here are some suggestions from past open forums:

  • overview of basic Drupal concepts such as content types, views,  user permissions,  taxonomy, CCK, themes, etc.
  • how to accomplish a specific website goal (e.g. file storage, create individual blogs for each member of the community, etc.)
  • development of modules, themes, etc.
  • installation woes
  • integration with social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • module-specific conversation
  • SEO tips

But, it could be anything.  Visit the event page to comment with your topic of interest!
